Argentium Silver offers natural tarnish resistance, is hypoallergenic, does not develop firescale, can be hardened, is easy to weld, and is sustainably produced.

The special germanium oxide layer prevents direct skin contact with the silver or copper content. This allows Argentium to be worn even by individuals who typically have allergic reactions to silver jewelry.

Argentium can be easily hardened in an oven at 300°C for two hours. This process significantly increases the pieces' resistance to bending, scratches, and dents. Additionally, spring-like components can be produced without the need for mechanical hardening.

Due to its special composition, Argentium can be easily welded with a normal soldering torch – no additional welding equipment is required.

By adding a small amount of germanium to the alloy, a thin layer of germanium oxide forms on the surface of Argentium. This prevents the oxidation of the copper components of the metal and thus prevents tarnishing, even over time. The formation of the protective layer can also be accelerated by passivating the pieces at 130°C for three hours in an oven.

Argentium is easier to work with. Additionally, Argentium shines brighter than regular sterling silver, and entire finishing steps can be eliminated. Additionally, Argentium can be hardened.

Blue silver is a major problem in silver processing. However, oxidation of the copper components down to the deeper layers doesn't occur with Argentium, as the protective germanium oxide layer prevents oxidation at the surface.

Argentium Silver is made from 100% sustainable recycled silver. Furthermore, the production process eliminates the use of harmful deoxidizers.
