This hard Argentium silver tube is the perfect choice for clasps, hinges and for making custom settings. For settings, choose a tube that has an outer diameter approximately 0.5 mm larger than your stone (this tube will fit 3 mm stones).
These tubes are supplied in a hardened state. Annealing, melting or soldering will soften the pipe again. However, it is easily possible to increase the degree of hardness by a simple heat curing process at low temperature (also suitable for soldered pieces).
