This hard Argentium silver tubing is the perfect choice for clasps, hinges, and for making custom settings. For settings, choose a tubing that has an outer diameter approximately 0.5 mm larger than your stone (this tube will fit 3.5 mm stones).

These tubes are supplied in a hardened state. Annealing, melting, or soldering will soften the tube again. However, it is easily possible to increase the hardness through a simple low-temperature heat-aging process (also suitable for soldered pieces).
